Our granddaughter Sophie is very perceptive.  For Randy's birthday she made this picture.  It is the van we will be driving to Alaska, and she has added speech balloons that are meant to be the comments we are making to each other; she really knows us!

First bump in the road

We haven't even left yet; hope this isn't a taste of things to come. . .

Be prepared

Randy would have made a good quartermaster for an expedition to the South Pole.  He prepares for every contingency.  He has been getting ready for a month.  We are 10 days away from our departure date and we are almost packed. Here he is showing Patty Hanson some of our preparations.
