To Hell with it

Just could not make a decision; go to Great Falls and buy a car which might take until Monday or say to hell with it and ride Edna until she freaks altogether.  If we ride Edna there is no way Lynn is going to let me drive her on the "Road to the Sun" in Glacier.  Well I picked the "To Hell With It" and off to Glacier we went. Actually it was a beautiful day, clear and about 76 degrees.  You have to go through the little town of Browning on the way and we got hung up there for an hour because they were having a parade, complete with a fire truck and cowboys and Indians on horses...real cowboys and real Indians.
So Lynn will not ride Edna up the hill so we bought Red Bus Tour tickets; turned out to be a real good move, the trip was great with a running presentation of what we were seeing.
The Red Bus; just like they were years ago, only updated

I discovered that if you are 62 you can buy a permanent pass to all national parks for ten bucks...good for the rest of your life and good for the others in your car with you.  Saturday turned out to be a good day all around with not more issues from Edna, good weather, a good place to stay in Cardston, Alberta
and even a good roast beef dinner.

Happiness is arriving at the Hilton Garden Inn in Calgary after a looong day of sightseeing.  This place is awesome.  Spacious, comfortable room, and best of all, a laundry down the hall!  After 7 days it's time to do laundry.

Distances are so great that even though we basically just toured two places, it took all day.  We started with the interpretive center at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump.  I just love the name, so I had to see it.  It turns out that it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Very glad we went.  They've done a beautiful job with the museum and telling the story of how the early Plains Indians lived.

Following that, we continued on to Drumheller, where there is the best Dinosaur collection in the world.  The Royal Tyrell Museum is the best we've ever seen.  Fantastic, comprehensive exhibits, in the Canadian Badlands area.
